About Sarah — A Japanese Mind with a Bicultural Lens

My name is Sarah.

I have both Japanese and American background, but I was born and raised in Japan.

Growing up as a half-Japanese kid in Japan shaped most of who I am — my values, my sensitivity to detail, and the way I see beauty.

People sometimes assume I lived in the US, but I didn’t.

My childhood, school, friends, and memories are all Japan-based.

My bicultural identity came from home, family, and culture rather than geography.

I’ve always loved beauty — not only the result, but the care, precision, and hospitality behind it.

As I got older, I realized how confusing Japanese beauty can feel for people from overseas.

Language, booking systems, contracts, and expectations often become barriers for travelers who simply want to enjoy the experience.

Today, I’m a mother of two and someone who builds things from scratch.

My family, my work, and my dogs all coexist in one life, and I don’t separate them too strictly.

They shape how I think and how I make decisions.

Valentine Beauty Japan started from a simple idea:

If Japan’s beauty is this good, it should be easy for foreign guests to experience it without stress.

Helping people book salons and clinics with clarity and confidence became my mission.

My goal is to make Japanese beauty accessible and stress-free for international guests.

There’s still more to build, and I’m excited to continue.
